Do You Know How Brilliant You Are?
Once a farmer found an abandoned eagle's nest and in it was an egg; still warm. He took the egg back to his farm and laid it in the nest of one of his hens.
The egg hatched, and the baby eagle grew up along with the other chickens. It pecked about the farmyard, scrabbling in the dust for grain. It spent its whole life on the farm and it rarely looked up.
When it was very, very old, one day it lifted its head and saw a wonderful sight above it. An eagle soaring high above in the sky. Looking at it, the old creature sighed and said to itself, "You know ... If only I'd been born an eagle".
What are you? An eagle? A chicken?
Perhaps you are an eagle, but maybe you just don't know it ... because you have never looked up. You have never yet seen what you could be, and so sadly ... you may end up living the life of a chicken.
And how miserable that must be if, when you are old and wrinkly, you eventually do look up and realise just how much you have missed and how much more you could have been.
Do you look up? With eyes open? Do you have ambition, an aspiration, to become absolutely everything that you possibly can?
The aspirations that you have will become the possibilities in your life. If you don't have any aspiration ... any ambition ... then you will limit what you can become ... like the chicken pecking in the dust.
You must look up. You have to look up.
