About me

I am a qualified and experienced primary teacher with both state and independent school experience. I have taught and tutored both KS1 and KS2, including students with SEN and where English is a second language. It is important for me to get to know the child so I can tailor make lessons to suit their learning style, ability and confidence. I build good relationships with the students so they feel empowered and heard and are in a safe learning environment where mistakes are celebrated and used as a learning tool. I like to know the student\'s interests and hobbies so I can use these in my lessons to ensure the student is engaged at all times. Building confidence and self-belief is crucial so the student is ready to take learning risks. I prefer face-to-face teaching as I think it is better for the child and online is a last resort.
