Qualifications

PGCE Primary Education, Manchester Metropolitan University (2011). BSc (Hons) Psychology, Manchester Metropolitan University (2005).

About me

I have worked full-time as a KS2 primary school teacher since qualifying with a PGCE in 2011. I have worked with children in both single and mixed-age classes, and as a current Year 6 teacher, I am very experienced in preparing children for SATS assessments and their transition to high school. In my role, I lead the reading curriculum for the whole school, as well as specialising in teaching maths. In addition to my teaching role, I mark KS2 SATS assessments. As a mother of two children, I recognise how difficult it can be to motivate children with additional learning outside of the school environment. Through my compassionate and professional approach, I believe I will be well suited to support your child in growing their confidence and showing off their true capabilities as a learner.
