SEN Tuition in Moreton-in-Marsh

We first approached Anna when we were looking for advice on how to support our 10-year-old son, who has ADHD and Anxiety Disorder. From the outset, we felt comfortable with Anna. Not only did she listen to us, but she understood and empathised with what we were hoping to achieve, and she respected and acknowledged our concerns. Her manner and suggested approach were ideally aligned with our situation and struck a perfect balance in terms of pace and engagement with our son. However, none of this would have mattered if our son would not accept her. From her first interaction with him, we realised we had nothing to worry about. He instinctively trusted her and responded open to her engagement, listening to what she asked of him and reacting positively to her praise and encouragement. Over the last four months, Anna has built up a rapport with our son built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust. She has a way of helping him to do what he needs to do in a way that avoids confrontation and conflict, reinforces positive learning, and builds up his confidence. This does not mean she does not say 'no' or lets him get away with messing around. It is just that she couches that control and discipline in a way that builds trust and engagement rather than one built on hierarchy and punishment. We cannot recommend Anna highly enough. She has a wealth of experience and expertise but is humble and questioning. More than that, it is crystal clear that her primary aim is to help develop our son and help him achieve his full potential. Put simply, if you are considering additional learning support for a SEND child, you should ask for a meeting with Anna. She is simply superb at what she does, and we are so grateful we found her. Marion has worked wonders for our two children. Our daughter started tutoring to get her ready for the 11+ Grammar/ Independent School exams. Not only did she receive an offer from Alcester Grammar, she was offered Academic Scholarships for King's High and Princethorpe College. Marion has of course helped her with preparation and knowledge for the exams but more than that, with Marion's kind, encouraging and thorough approach, she gave our daughter confidence in her own ability allowing her to thrive. Our son was also tutored by Marion to prepare him for an entrance exam into Warwick Junior School, and once again Marion worked her magic, making sure there were no holes in his knowledge and preparing him for the exam. We were thrilled to be offered a place there too. We cannot recommend Marion enough, she has been a wonderful academic support to both our children. Fred And Kiri Brookes
SEN Tuition in Banbury

We can 100% recommend Marion for both 11+ plus and Independent Schools entrance exam tutoring. Our son started with Marion at the beginning of Year 5 and his vocabulary and Maths knowledge and application came on in leaps and bounds. Marion has an ability to stretch and challenge bright kids and really enthuse them with learning new words and mathematical concepts. Our son was so pleased to have the choice of an academic scholarship from Warwick and a place at KES Stratford (despite being in the outer catchment circle). We have no doubt that Marion's expert tutoring was a vital factor in these two offers. What was more important to us as parents though was that our son loved the sessions - Marion has nurtured and developed a love of learning in an 11 year old boy which is a really rare talent! I cannot express how grateful we are for all the extra help you have given our daughter (and us in terms of ideas). She has enjoyed your sessions greatly and I know they have paid off. Mrs K Crockett

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a SEN tutor coming to your home in Moreton-in-Marsh to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the SEN tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the SEN tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the SEN tutor is required to travel to your home, in Moreton-in-Marsh. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your SEN tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your SEN tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of SEN tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group SEN tuition in Moreton-in-Marsh depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
