Reviews for SEN Tutors in Haslemere

5.0

My daughter will start Y6. Stella has been her tutor since Y2, and she is an amazing, caring and lovely tutor, very well-prepared to help with any subject. She has been not only key to boosting my daughter's confidence and learning, but she is also a massive help with whatever school initiative, homework, workshop or academic challenge is undertaken. My daughter has improved her grades significantly. She was chosen to represent her school in a math challenge, for a debate and even to be a prefect, among other achievements. Stella prepared my daughter for all these events. Besides, she makes the lesson fun and exciting and always has tips to help parents. She listens to my daughter and spares a few minutes in the lesson for a quick game. In a few words, my daughter looks forward to every lesson and is excellent. We just love her! Mrs Rita Guinta

In the beginning Mrs Archer took the time to get to know my son and his interests and has tailored his learning to engage him. The objectives we set were met and I have been so impressed at the professional, reliable and friendly service. My son has made remarkable progress with his learning since receiving tuition! SEN Tuition in Chichester

Brian tutored my son (who was then home educated) in GCSE Sociology and GCSE History; he is now taking him through Sociology A-Level, which is not offered at my son's school. He is an excellent teacher whom I can recommend unreservedly. He strikes exactly the right balance: he ensures that the syllabus is fully covered and understood and offers excellent advice regarding essay and exam techniques, but (even more importantly, in my view) he evinces and inspires, a genuine interest in the subjects that he is teaching, making the lessons dynamic, relevant and topical. He is also very well organised in his approach to the lessons, often supplying additional materials to the course books, and reliable and approachable. And this is from my son: "Brian's approach to teaching is incredibly holistic, as he is always looking for the best in my work, while also making absolutely sure I'm aware of what I could be doing better. He has demonstrated a huge amount of support in my A-Level Sociology course, ensuring no topic on the syllabus is missed. It's clear Brian has a passion for teaching sociology and will often add anecdotes about how the theories studied can be seen in everyday life, which can be used in exam answers. Moreover, Brian's careful attention when I was studying GCSE Sociology and GCSE History was ultimately what propelled me to top grades." Ms J Richards
SEN Tuition in Horsham

Brian is an excellent tutor with a range of skills. His ability to teach both content and exam technique helps you to build confidence in your History skills. He has lots of resources and has great knowledge on all topics across exam boards. He has a clear passion for his subject.' Mr T Va Zyl

We only ever offer qualified teachers as tutors, as we believe professional teachers provide the highest quality of tuition.

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a SEN tutor coming to your home in Haslemere to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the SEN tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the SEN tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the SEN tutor is required to travel to your home, in Haslemere. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your SEN tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your SEN tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of SEN tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group SEN tuition in Haslemere depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
