About me

My career includes secondary, further and higher education teaching English and drama. I have worked extensively with home tuition English literature and language GCSE students and am familiar with AQA, OCR, Pearson/Edexcel & OCR IGCSE. I also teach English literature A-level and have, for the past two years, taught students online for this. My career has been in teaching but also in TV script editing and writing, which helps me to engage with my students' personal aptitudes and to stretch the people I teach to use their individual skills and interests to help them achieve. I am confident in my ability to teach students with autism, ADHD and chronic fatigue. The students I have taught both through schools and as a private tutor invariably enjoy their lessons and opt for English at A level. I have written A-level study guides for ZIGZAG Education, and these are well received.
