Qualifications

QTS (Outstanding), Teach First, University College London (UCL). PGDE Primary, University College London. BA (Hons) English Language, Canterbury Christ Church University. Cambridge CELTA.

About me

I have worked in schools for over six years, achieving a CELTA qualification, a PGDE (QTS Outstanding) with Teach First (UCL), and an NPQML with Ambition institute. I have a broad understanding of how education is organised in various settings teaching in different academies in the UK and abroad. I have taught both Year 5 and Year 6, so I have vast experience teaching children how to achieve high results in the KS2 and KS1 SATS. I also have experience tutoring children for the 11+ and ESL/EAL. Before teaching in the UK, I worked in an international school where I prepared high-achieving students from Year 8 to 12 for various examinations, such as IELTS , SATs and TESOL, so that they could study in universities in the UK or USA. My teaching strategies are always research-informed, and I base my decisions on the best educational practices.
