About me

I have worked in a school setting for over 25 years. I started out as a teaching assistant in a secondary school, supporting children who struggled to access all curriculum areas. I have also worked with Autistic children helping them to overcome the barriers to learning. I decided to become a teacher (and in 2012, graduated from university with an ICT degree) because I am passionate about the job and wanted to make a difference. Most of my teacher training was done in a secondary school setting, teaching children from yr7 to 6th form. I have been working in a primary school for over 10 yrs now and have taught in yrs 3, 4 and 5. I have been a primary private tutor for several years now, helping children with general English and Maths catch up and with 11 plus. I've had numerous successes with children going on to gain places in grammar schools. I am currently working in a Wirral primary school, teaching and supporting in Year 5.
