I am happy to work on the content, help improve subject knowledge, and focus on exam revision skills acquisition. I have taught most exam boards and my examining experience will come in handy when identifying what is needed to gain marks in the exam and how to avoid the most common mistakes. I have tried and tested resources. I will be able to go through past exam questions and do live marking to give instant feedback on the work so that students can understand exactly how examiners such as myself will mark their responses.

Reviews for Behavioural Difficulties Tutors in Aberystwyth

I would highly recommend Agata as a psychology tutor. She is currently teaching my son, who is in Year 12 and will be sitting the OCR exams. We tried finding an OCR tutor, which was not easy as this is not a commonly taught board. When we finally managed to find Agata, we were impressed not only at the fact that she is an OCR examiner but also at her delivery of lessons, which has given my son so much confidence and led him to get top marks in his assessments consistently. This has spurred him on to aim for an A star, which really is down to Agata. She goes through the content, linking other topics, which allows for re-revsiing of previous topics, with plenty of exam practice. In addition to this, Agata comes across as a very caring tutor. It is obvious she has a passion for teaching her subject, which is infectious. My son loves psychology, as he recently told me, it is his favourite A-Level! Mrs Awan

Elen has taken on the role of instructing my sons in English for several months now. Her teaching methods are thorough and systematic, ensuring that every lesson is well-structured and effective. She provides tailored material to address each of the kids gaps. She has a way of engaging with my children that keeps them interested and motivated. As a result of her efforts, I've observed a notable enhancement in my sons' creative writing abilities. They are now more expressive and confident in their writing. Given the progress I've seen, I wouldn't hesitate to suggest her to other parents within my circle, as I believe she can bring out the best in any student. Rachel

Drew taught our son, and we found him to be a highly sensitive, engaging and fun teacher. He took time to understand each of his strengths, interests and areas for development and built an excellent relationship with him. His creativity made the lessons engaging and fun. Drew provided one-to-one sessions for our son and established a great bond, providing encouragement and support and demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence. He was always willing to discuss our concerns and invested time and energy into supporting and encouraging our son. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Mrs Annie Thmopsett

If you are looking for a fabulous teacher, then Drew is the person you are looking for. We were very lucky to have Drew teach our daughter across 2 different school years. He has a real skill in understanding the needs of each of his students and tailoring their learning accordingly whilst stretching the children to learn and making it fun. Nothing was ever a problem for Drew ... he always took the time to listen to any concerns I had and those of his pupils and help overcome any issues. Drew has also run a holiday activity course which was hugely popular with the pupils. I absolutely recommend Drew as a fantastic teacher. Mrs Lisa Wright

Chris has been a saviour for my son Alfie. He has been coming over the summer break for a few weeks of intensive two-hour slots to help Alfie catch up on all that he didnt learn in Year 10. Alfie has ADHD and has struggled at school to engage with the GCSE course, but Chris has reversed this. Alfie has been amazed at how much he has learned and enjoyed with Chris. We would 100% recommend him and will be continuing weekly sessions throughout Year 11. Meg Black

Behavioural Difficulties Tuition in Shrewsbury

Chris is a wonderful tutor. Obviously very passionate but not over-whelming to the student. He is prompt, prepared and professional. My granddaughter actually enjoyed the few sessions they had before COVID-19 disrupted things. Chris is firm but fun - so much so that my granddaughter requested a particular task/game, and laughter was heard! Homework is given and briefly reviewed the following week, although Chris is excellent at acknowledging that school work is a priority - but did I say she enjoyed it and wanted to put in some effort? A+ from me. Heather Barnes

I believe that every child needs a cheerleader: a teacher who understands them and champions their achievements; a mentor who empowers them to believe they can succeed. I am a qualified primary teacher with extensive secular and church school experience. I have taught most primary year groups in Early Years and across Key Stages 1 and 2 in England and Wales; including students with various SEN requirements. I left school teaching a few years ago to become a dedicated tutor and have since extended my teaching range to include KS3 English and mathematics. I use empathetic, holistic methods to raise my students' self-confidence as well as their skills. I feel that the power of putting the students' motivations and interests at the centre of their own learning cannot be underestimated; getting to know the learner so that I can best help them to achieve is at the heart of what I do.

I am a passionate Primary school teacher with over ten years of experience who worked in both KS1 and KS2. I am currently working as an EHCP support whilst I take some time retraining as a counsellor. I was an English Lead and Year 6 teacher, so I am very familiar with KS2 SATS and Year 7 entrance exams. Having worked in inner-city London schools, I have a lot of experience with students who have English as an additional language. I also have a lot of experience with children with additional needs, particularly ASD. I am an inclusive teacher who believes that all children deserve to reach their full potential and seeks to find creative ways to engage children with the curriculum. I have 24 years teaching experience; most of my work has been in secondary, where my specialisms are Drama, English Language and English Literature. I also have extensive experience in primary education and SEN. My distinguishing characteristics are inventiveness and using creative strategies to engage students who have either become alienated by standardised approaches to education or seek perception-challenging provocations to take their critical thinking and articulacy to the highest possible level. I have created many bespoke home-schooling and curriculum enrichment programs. I am also a creative professional, still working in the creative arts, primarily as a dramaturg and director. This creativity extends to my tutoring style which encapsulates a sensitive awareness of what a student needs and a capacity to foster inspiring intellectual rapports.

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a Behavioural Difficulties tutor coming to your home in Aberystwyth to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the Behavioural Difficulties tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Behavioural Difficulties tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the Behavioural Difficulties tutor is required to travel to your home, in Aberystwyth. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Behavioural Difficulties tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your Behavioural Difficulties tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Behavioural Difficulties tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group Behavioural Difficulties tuition in Aberystwyth depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
